{PREORDER} Praying Through Infertility: A Litany and Devotional for Women

“The Stormy Waves of Grief” features prayers that focus on the raw and very real emotions women experience when faced with infertility, from envy to despair to even questioning her own femininity. These struggles women often face when bearing the cross of infertility can leave them feeling alone and even ashamed to be feeling the range of emotions that surface throughout the journey. However, somehow naming these feelings out loud and realizing that other women feel the same things, bring a sense of validation and help to remove those feelings of shame. Journeying through infertility is one of the most difficult things a woman can ever experience, but she should never have to feel separated from the world around her, as if no one understands what she’s going through.

These prayers are meant to offer not only validation and support to women suffering with infertility, but also to shine a light on the hope that can be found in baring our souls to God and acknowledging our authentic experience instead of trying to cover it up or pretend as though everything is fine. It is in being true to ourselves in prayer with God that we find healing.
